After Norie Huddle sent out the link to Robert Malone’s substack wherein he said that he found the UN Agenda 2030 to be “terrifying” I wrote a comment that I then sent to four of the major listservs that I follow, namely, Que Pasa, Deep Dive, Green Liberation Society and Action Greens. This started a conversation of diverse viewpoints from several people including Steve Bhaerman, Jon Olsen, Meryl Nass, Diane Perlman, Frank Black, Marilyn Langlois, Larry Fishman, Elliot and me, Alanna Hartzok.
Steve Bhaerman said: … it's important to make the distinction between the true aspiration of the peoples of the world and the twisting of those aspirations to create top-down DOMINATOR rule… this is a worthy conversation.
May this worthy conversation continue with more thoughts, feelings and intuitions that you can express using Substack’s Comments feature sprinkled throughout this document compiled from the input of people from these lists: Que Pasa, Deep Dive, Green Liberation Society and Action Greens.
Norie Huddle initiated this this conversation when she sent:
“If you control the food supply, you control everything,”
The UN envisions a global command economy
Dr. Malone has now read Agenda 2030 and found it "terrifying." He explains his concerns and reminds us that, "...while the Agenda 2030 is a not a legally binding instrument, the regional and international human rights Conventions and Covenants at the core of Agenda 2030 are, in fact, binding instruments of international law.
We need massive citizen response and honest politicians fighting against the more draconian aspects of agenda 2030.
Alanna Hartzok posted this comment to Dr. Malone’s substack - For thirty years I have been a Non-Governmental Representative to the United Nations for the International Union for Land Value Taxation that has consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council. I have participated in many international assemblies and have always been amazed at how every single word in UN documents is carefully and painstakingly crafted by consensus of ALL UN member states with the input of thousands of UN NGO representatives like myself. Agenda 2030 is thus an ASPIRATIONAL vision of vast numbers of the people of the world.
This vision should be taken seriously, not denigrated with the words that you used of "unicorns and butterflies." The key concern for those of us yearning for those unicorns and butterflies is how to fund their manifestation to build a world that works for everyone.
I can assure you that this is the goal, not top heavy command-control world government. If you want to think through how to achieve a highly decentralized world that works for everyone with minimum global governance that results in all the butterflies and unicorns that we desire, know that some of us have thought this through in detail and we would be happy to share our views with you. My book The Earth Belongs to Everyone, recipient of the Radical Middle Book Award, contains some of the key ideas. You could give me a call and begin the conversation at 717-357-7617 in Pennsylvania or email to alannahartzok@gmail.com Or I could drive down to VA and ride horses with you and Jill while we talk.
Steve Bhaerman - Thank you SO MUCH Alanna for pointing out these distortions that I too have noticed as I've navigated these political waters. There's lots of fear-based projection going on -- true of both sides -- and it sadly until now has separated those of us who want a world of "intentional mutual benefit" where we willingly work together for the benefit of each and all. Now ... to be fair, it's important to make the distinction between the true aspiration of the peoples of the world, and the twisting of those aspirations to create top-down DOMINATOR rule. I am likewise very concerned about the Orwellian system that seems to be already impacting our lives.
And ... this is a worthy conversation.
Jon Olsen - Alanna, I am shocked that you would give credence to Agenda 2030,
which is a WEF project through and through! We know what they have
promoted so far with their Draconian covid behavior, and they are just
getting started! That Agenda is aspirational for the oligarchs!
From Alanna to Jon - I think you never read Agenda 2030. The WEF takes over all good things and twists them in their direction because they have the money and power to do so. The WEF DID NOT invent or create or compose Agenda 2030 nor any of the other UN Agendas that have been endorsed by all UN nation states via the UN General Assembly. You have been unduly influenced by all those who are paranoid about the UN it seems and who do not have clarity between the necessity of limited global governance which we need and a top heavy global government which is the real danger. I know. I participated in many of these UN sessions over the past 30 years. I know how carefully these documents are crafted, transparently, with very fair participation and often much tedium. The devil is in the details of Who will Control and Finance and How? And this is how the WEF wants to twist the Agenda 2030 for its own distorted and nefarious power agenda.
Our battle is not with high aspirational words on paper but with how to address wealth and power inequality at its very source. This is why I work to socialize land rent and remove taxes on labor and needed productive activities. Please read my E.F Schumacher Lecture here:

and this new document from Center for the Study of Economics
and the Green Party land value tax platform planks here:

From Jon to Alanna:
OK, If you can also show me Agenda 2030 document that is consistent
with what we value, I will alter my views. But among all of us
fighting the covid repression, it is understood that Schwab/Gates ARE
the instigators of Agenda 2030. Quite a task to reverse that
understanding.
From Alanna to Jon: The UN was founded because the people of the world were fed up with war and seeking an organization that would be for world peace. But like most everything else that strives for overall human well-being in this world, when things are institutionalized they contain a mix of the unity consciousness and wetiko (separative) consciousness. The UN has put forth many unity consciousness documents, like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Declaration of Economic Human Rights. But the way that can get us out of the divisiveness of the right/left economics box is in affirming the ethic, truth and wisdom of equal rights to earth as a birthright.
The Declaration of Economic Human Rights contains every right you can imagine - food, shelter, jobs, etc. etc. but not the right to that from which material things are sourced - the Earth. This is because of the thorny issue of property rights, private versus collective, right versus left. The dilemma is solved by fully socializing the land rent (while untaxing labor and production ) and leaving property titles in place, as a private property in land title would simply be a designation of use rights, but not private profiteering and speculation in land. This policy approach harmonizes the needs of the individual and the community and actually drives land reform which can be viewed as an effort to secure private property for all. This public finance approach cuts into the achilles heal of corporate rule and thus can destroy it by cutting its root.

Meryl Nass - The goals may be very worthy. The language may be very carefully crafted. But the actions of the UN and its daughter agencies are certainly not.
Alanna, the UN has been placed in the service of those who would destroy any good left in the world, by capturing and captivating us with ideals like climate change and equity that they care not a whit about.
Actions speak louder than words.
From Alanna to Meryl - You are in large part correct. when you state that " the UN has been placed in the service of those who would destroy any good left in the world, by capturing and captivating us with ideals like climate change and equity that they care not a whit about. Actions speak louder than words." And yet, has not just about every institution including the USG been placed in the service of the ill-intentioned ones wetiko (separative) ones?
Actions do indeed speak louder than words. Yet the snare of their words backed up by the enormous clout of their money and land and resource grabbing is keeping "we the people of the world" ideologically impotent and continuously manipulated by the divide and conquer machinations of the old right / old left polarity. There is a clear and viable way out of their lair to be found in an ethic and policy approach that harmonizes the needs of the individual AND the community, that enables an economics that is BOTH optimally fair AND free, that is strongly decentralist, bioregionalist and enables the minimum necessary amount of functional global governance. .
As "we the people of the world" led by values-oriented intellectuals and military people that are attuned to the desire for protection and service to the people as a whole find this radical middle non-violent path our Actions will speak as loud as our Words.
Diane Perlman - I think it is not black and white, not all or nothing and not the UN ding stuff, but the UN, a structure and a system and a building, being exploited by dominating powers using “mystification” - presenting forms of exploitation as for of benevolence. It allows for civl society observation and representation - perhaps we can do more good. I am trying to develop my role.
I am at the UN for most of August for the NPT - Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty 10th Review Conference - postponed from May 2020. I am representing Transcend. In the past I have represented NOGs Mediators Beyond Borders, Psychologists for Social Responsibility, GMU School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, WILPF, PSR (Physicians for Social Responsibility/IPPNW International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War. I have attended the UN 4th World Conference on Women in China in 1995 (which ended my marriage) the 2009 COP 15 Climate conference in Copenhagen, every NPT in NYC since 2000, the TPNW - Treaty on the Prevention of Nuclear Weapons in 2017 for which theNobel Peace Prize was awarded to ICAN, and the 1st conference on a Nuclear and WMD free Zone in the Middle East.
Example - the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Association ) existed before the NPT and regulates and promotes nuclear energy and influenced the document so that most delegates in groupthink mindlessly support the “peaceful uses of nuclear energy.”
At the UN 4th World Conference on Women, women from around the world, and esp Africa discovered that they had rights to property and to not be beaten and exercised them afterwards. People make important connections at these meetings.
Can more of civil society show up and raise consciousness - as I am doing here now about thinned to address the underlying conflicts?
There are wonderful and terrible and medium things happening at the UN - It is too simplistic to say it is bad. If it can be exploited for nefarious purposes, perhaps we can exploit it for good- but need to be more organized. I am meeting next week with the US delegate about strategy fro conflict transformation.
It is good to have a system for communication, coordination, best practices, support - not domination. Let’s take a problem-solving approach and explore what we might be able to make happen.
Frank Black - Well, if we're gonna wish for anything, why not "unicorns and butterflies"? Why not "Utopia"?
Alanna to Frank – Exactly so, a resounding YES to all those unicorns and butterflies of ending extreme poverty and war on Planet Earth! This is totally doable so not actually a utopian dream. The only reason these goals seem utopian is because “we the people” of the world have not yet gotten our act(ion) together as to what we are going to DO to get there. There is an ideological vacuum and polarization that is keeping us divided, conflicted and thus disempowered by (name your favorite bad guy). There is a way out of their snare, one that harmonizes the needs of the individual AND the community, a way beyond the old right and the old left.
Steve Bhaerman ... and that's true too. Just as the valor of those who served in the Iraq war was betrayed by the neocons, what the UN could have been and should have been has been hijacked by the WEF, the WHO and the individuals and corporations who have captured the aspirations of billions of people around the world. My caveat is, be careful to separate these forces of "Wetiko" from the desire for humans to come together in a United People of the World to create transparency, wellbeing and justice.
Steve Bhaerman - Well said, Diane. I see "mass formation" has taken hold on both sides, and nuance being the first casualty. One of my colleagues, Richard Flyer has been using a term that I think generically expresses the great aspiration of non-sociopathic humanity -- "intentional mutual benefit". Those awakening right and left (and middle) need to have our eye on this prize, and take note of the forces of divide and conquer that have us fighting one another.
Marilyn Landlois - Thanks, Diane and Steve -- Good point about "nuance being the first casualty". Divide and conquer is the major scourge we need to free ourselves from......
Larry Fishman - Thanks Meryl. The UN and its daughter agencies are all captured agencies (captured by the despotic US). Actions indeed speak louder than words.
Steve Bhaerman – Yes, captured agencies. Meaning all good intentions subverted to serving special agendas.
Elliot - Living in NYC for decades, I’ve met lots of UN officials and diplomats. They are polite, well spoken, live great lives with travel, free housing and great salaries. Some in the lower ranks mean well, but the well placed just do well - for themselves, keeping a close eye on political winds, never really standing for anything. The big shots are players. My two cents.
We all know the problem. All fingers point up to the ruling cliques, the dominators, whether they be from business or government. And they are entrenched using money and influence on the population. We are all trying to figure out what exactly to do about this. I would say to keep getting our message out there - a message about how we the people are divided by the dominators at the top so that good things don't make it fairly to the bottom of the economic ladder or to Mother Earth. And then let's come together for a better world for us all.
Say it to the UN and go on record. Say it in government sessions and in whatever media channels we can. Say it in art, music, and poetry. Say it in articles and books. And pause to visualize what the world we want looks like, feels like. Get our own vibrations up by stepping out of victim consciousness.
Yes, the dominators are running the economic show now and ruling from above the law, but we the people can run a new show where the law of love and compassion (inherent in all our religions and spiritual philosophies) is enacted. The people already want this better life. They just aren't networked with others who want it too. When we come together as Steve says, "left and right to front and center," the dominators cannot continue. Oh yes, they'll put up a fight and it won't be pretty. Winter is coming.
But we will bring spring. Resonance causation says that if we hold the frequency within us in alignment with our positive dreams and visions (they may not include unicorns but will probably include beauty, peace, and plenty), reality will provide the track forward. Right now what we want appears to be unimaginable, but each of us are homeopathic remedies for humanity. A 1 in 8B dilution is extremely powerful!
yes the well-funded NGOs I agree. But I have been involved with these processes and in my experience NGOs at the UN work by consensus and are very well-informed. But no doubt the bad guys are tightening their grip or trying to, all over the place. The webinar i about how best to Decentralize from big governments.
