Yes Coleen, the middle class is being squeezed, even life expectancy is decreasing. Incentives to work are to work as a creative calling, because people naturally want to live with life purpose. Now people do wage slave jobs to avoid become homeless. Regarding agriculture, tax shift breaks up large highly subsidized corporate landholdings, making land affordable for smaller labor and capital intensive farms. Land Value tax created a land reform in California, breaking up a one million acre holding into 7000 small farms. This successful land reform was undermined however by the Bank of America because they wanted first lien on the land, not the community.
