We all should have the same earth rights and not think that privation of sites is correct, because then all the landlord is expected to do is to pay the (Single) tax on it and not share these rights as a full community should. By leasing the sites from the nation instead of owning them, we would then REALLY have truly compensated for occupying the site in question. This is a compensation for having

these earth rights, which are what the individual occupation of the site is stopping others from doing with it. A site owner who fails to pay LVT instead of failing to lease the site that is nationally owned would be much more difficult to difficult to eject from it.

David Harold - Thank you for your comment. In the US people DO lose their property if they do not pay their property taxes. We are quite aware of this problem in our Baltimore Thrive project for land value tax implementation. Too many poor people in fact are at risk of losing their homes when they cannot pay property tax. But shifting taxes off their house and onto the land site value means all or nearly all poor homeowners would pay less. Perhaps it is different in Israel, but no need here to nationalize the land in order to collect full land value taxes. Plus we are a big nation state and would not want our land value tax to go to the federal government, while Israel is a tiny state by comparison.
