Trump Kicks Zelenskyy Out of the White House After Fiery Meeting
President Trump has kicked Zelensky out of the White House. A planned press conference and a lunch have been cancelled. Zelensky left the campus early. The critical minerals deal Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said was a "done deal" on Thursday, was not signed as planned. ...
"UKRAINE: Sec Rubio just got rug pulled. Zelensky assured him the mineral deal was locked in, and Rubio confidently told the president it was a done deal, with Zelensky visiting the White House to sign. Instead, Zelensky shifted the goalposts—demanding US ground troops, knowing Trump wouldn’t agree. Zelensky isn’t an honest broker.

Trump tells Zelensky he’s 'gambling with WWIII' in heated Oval Office meeting
(at 1:30 seconds)
...President Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he was “gambling with World War III” during a fiery Oval Office exchange Friday — before canceling a press conference and declaring that the wartime leader was “not ready for peace” with Russia.
The conversation soured abruptly when Vance criticized former President Joe Biden’s leadership during the three-year war and said that “the path to peace and the path to prosperity is maybe engaging in diplomacy.”
Although the VP’s remark did not require him to comment, Zelensky proceeded to give Vance an elementary-level history lesson of Russia-Ukraine tensions dating to 2014, concluding with the question: “What kind of diplomacy, JD, you are [sic] speaking about?”
...“Your people are dying. You’re running low on soldiers. Listen, you’re running low on soldiers … Then you tell us, ‘I don’t want a cease-fire. I don’t want a cease-fire.'”
Trump added, “It’ll be a tough deal to make, because the attitudes have to change.”
...“You’re either going to make a deal or we’re out, and if we’re out, you’ll fight it out. I don’t think it’s going to be pretty,” Trump concluded before asking reporters to leave, saying “this is going to be great television, I will say that.”
Almost an hour after the press pool left the Oval Office, (Trump) … declared that Zelensky’s visit was over.
“It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy [sic] is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations,” Trump wrote on Truth Social....

This whole thing smacks of an act, just like the war was.
Isn't it odd that Russia was paying Ukraine to transit gas through it to Europe until recently? I thought there were sanctions and why pay your enemy?
It's a bullshit 1984 endless war. People suffer economically on both sides.

When an enemy country attacks your country with the aim of permanently occupying some of its useful sites of land, most of the nation loving population regard it as their duty to "rally round the flag" and go so far as to give their lives in order to throw out the invaders. I would do the same and probably most of these persons reading this too. So Zellinsky will try to get outside help from any other place that he thinks should give it, and the US certainly has the means to assist him.
Should Russia (and Putin) manage to take over much of the Ukraine, it will be encouraged to go further in its desire to get back the countries it occupied when in the past role of the USSR! Trump does not seem to realise what is implied in making peace now. The history leading up to WW2 is starting to repeat itself, but with Putin not Hitler pulling the puppet strings.
